I don’t even know where to start this post because I’m just so obsessed with this look lol. Literally every piece of it! So I should warn you, there are LOTS of photos ahead! 🙂
I tend to have a hard time with maxi dresses because I’m so tall {5’10”} and they are either too short on me or I have to size up and then they aren’t fitting right in the body but are long enough. So every time I order one, I pray it’s made with us tall ladies in mind! I am soo happy that this dress was long enough because it’s just beautiful {heart eyes emoji!}
It hugs in all the right places in the most flattering way, the extended ruffle hem at the bottom is a little boho and a little classic, and the cut out at the waist is just enough to make it fun without being too much that I feel uncomfortable. I actually didn’t realize that the tie was meant to be tied in the back {later saw pics on the website} so I haven’t tried it that way, but I love that I can wear it either way!
Even though it’s long sleeves {kind of} and a maxi, the material is really lightweight and since the sleeves are split, I know I’ll be able to wear this in the summer heat and still feel good. SOO excited to wear this in Paris in June! I feel like everything I’m gravitating towards these days makes me thing of Paris and France and I just want it all to wear while I’m there lol. Sadly you can only wear so many outfits in one week lol! I’ve literally spoken to so many people lately that either just went to Paris or are about to go to Paris so it’s such a crazy coincidence. Flights are super cheap and I think that’s why. Marc and I got our tickets for around $300 round trip which is amazing…I mean, that’s cheaper than flying to Florida or most of the US at certain times of the year! So if you’ve ever dreamed of going to Paris {or haven’t been in a while} I highly recommend jumping on the cheap flights! And definitely stay tuned for my blog posts about the trip and all my recommendations come July when we get back!
Soo back to the outfit lol. This dress can be worn literally year round given the neutral colors, the style, and the material…it’s all about the accessories you pair it with based on the time of year it is. For this end of winter/early spring look, I added gorgeous blush suede mules with a chunky gold heel and square toe that I got on super sale so I hope they don’t sell out before you can snag them! I also added this goldenrod yellow scarf as a wrap for a pop of color and warmth. I love this color yellow, and I always see myself eyeing things in it. With my skin tone and hair color, at first I wasn’t sure if this color would work for me, but I get so many compliments when I wear this color in anything and it just makes me feel so sunny 🙂 …so if you are thinking that and have similar coloring to me, stop thinking that lol! And if you have different coloring, then it will definitely look good on you as well since it looks great with darker features or skin tones.
The other accessories I added are these tassel earrings, this great bag I’ve been wearing on repeat if you follow me on instagram {@sunseekinginstyle} lol, and my dark sunnies to make the look extra chic. The color detail on the sides of these sunglasses also ties in really well with the whole color scheme of this look.
I so love this beautiful dress and accessories, and I can’t wait to wear it all different ways all year long…I’d wear it daily if that was acceptable lol! I hope you love it as much as I do!
