Lately I’ve been in a bit of a workout rut. Between being crazy busy with work, coordinating content for here on the blog, teaching yoga, and friend and family events, it’s been hard to keep in routine. I often find myself deciding between sleep and working out, and since I know sleep is so important, I end up picking sleep. I know we all go through seasons with our health and fitness routines though, and I know I’ll get back on track {hopefully soon!}
I’ve always felt that some new workout gear is the best for motivation though {and maybe a workout buddy too!} When you feel confident and good about yourself, you are more driven to move your body and keep the feelings going, it’s just a natural occurrence. I’ve always been an athlete and very focused on fitness. Many years ago I even would have called myself a gym rat lol. Now I try to workout 4-5 times per week if possible. But lately, it’s been more like 3 days per week. So I picked up some new gear from my favorite fitness gear site, Carbon38. In case you haven’t seen in my last few posts, if you buy anything on Carbon38 for the first time, use my code BECCAKAE50 and get 20% off your entire purchase! They also offer free returns which is great, especially with workout gear I find. You can find swimsuits and loungey type clothes on their site as well and they sell a variety of different brands at all price points so definitely check them out & don’t forget the code!
These pale pink leggings with the mesh detail are a brand I had never tried before, but they are really flattering and soo comfortable. I’m all about comfort in anything I wear, but especially gym clothes. If you are going to be tugging at things and feeling uncomfortable, you’re not going to get a good workout, that’s just a fact!
This sports bra is cottony soft and has the longer line bottom seam which I really like. It doesn’t dig in or cause uncomfortable rolls like some other materials do because it has really good give to it, and the back straps are stretchy enough for someone tall with a broader back like me which I really appreciate so it doesn’t ride up during my workout. The marled colors are also really nice for a softer look. I linked a lighter color as this color is sold out currently on Carbon38, but you might find it elsewhere! I topped it with a cropped tank of the same brand that has a twist front detail {you may know those are my fav by now lol!} This tank comes in a bunch of colors too! As a top layer, I added this lightweight, water-wicking jacket {not from Carbon38, and unfortunately it’s sold out, but I linked similar ones here and here.}
My off-white sneakers pull this whole look together since they look clean and classic for an overall chic workout look. My gym bag is also sold out, but check out these cute options I found here, here, & here.
So if winter or life has you a little out of your routine, I hope some of these ideas {or something else on Carbon38!} helps give you that little boost of confidence you might need to get back to what you love doing for fitness! Tell me in the comments below what your favorite workout is! Thanks for reading along, and I’ll be sharing more workout inspired outfits in the coming weeks!
