Paris is for lovers…and for eaters! lol, well maybe I made that up, but there are TONS of amazing eateries in Paris. You will find cuisines from all around the world too. No matter which area {or arrondissement} you are staying in or exploring, my Paris restaurant recommendations below will have you covered.
TIP: If you are traveling to Paris from the US, the pace of dining will be very different to you. They don’t try to rush you at all, and you need to ask for your check and sometimes even your menu lol. It’s a much more relaxed lifestyle, so be prepared, and embrace it!
Champs-Élysées
Bustronome
This is a bus tour with lunch or dinner included! It’s pricey, but definitely worth it! We did this for lunch our first full day in Paris & it was a great way to get a lay of the land and see many of the top sites all in a couple hours to decide what we wanted to do and see more of. They provide you with a handheld speaker & map that you press the speaker onto and can hear the history of every spot you drive past. It’s available in all different languages too. And the food is amazing too! Traditional French food and optional alcoholic beverages. Picks up & drops off in Champs-Élysées right by the Arc de Triomphe but shows you all the major sights in Paris!

Le Drugstore
A MUST visit! Super nice staff, amazing food & drinks…and THE BEST view of the Arc de Triomphe while you dine! I wanted to go back the next day for breakfast after we had dinner here our first night in Paris. You can’t miss this spot!
La Terrasse at Hotel Raphael
Cutest rooftop spot with a Veuve Clicquot theme & the best views over the city. Drinks and light bites on one side, full restaurant on the other. Reservations recommended. Definitely pricey, but worth it for the experience and the views. Go for one lavish drink, nurse it while you take in the views, and then go have a real meal somewhere else is my recommendation lol.
Le Rooftop at the Peninsula Paris
We didn’t get a chance to eat or drink here because there was a private event going on when we wanted to visit, but this is another gorgeous rooftop with unparalleled views. Just like at the Hotel Raphael, you pay for the ambience and the views, but go for a drink {and maybe some light bites} to take in the experience. They also have a few other restaurants including an indoor rooftop option, L’Oiseau Blanc, and La Terrasse Kléber, which is a pretty terrace on the main level for more full dining options.
Ladurée {other locations than Champs-Élysées as well}
Known for their famous French macarons, this is more than just a French pastry shop! They have a full menu as well. We did, however, just stop in for some yummy late night desserts. The vibe is adorable & you can dine inside or outside. Don’t worry if you see a long line, it’s likely just for the macarons. If you are dining, you can skip around the line!
Brasserie Alsace
Traditional French menu with some extras thrown in. Indoor or outdoor dining. Good for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner – open 24 hours!
Montmartre
Terrass Hotel Rooftop
This is probably my favorite recommendation for you. I wanted to go to brunch here for the views & the unlimited buffet, which we did, but I fell in love with the vibe so much I begged Marc to go back with me for drinks the next night! So we were lucky enough to see the Eiffel Tower view from this rooftop restaurant in the daytime & nighttime 🙂 Hence the multitude of photos lol, but hopefully that shows you all you need to see to put this spot at the top of you dining list for your visit to Paris!
La Mascotte
Great little French brasserie along a hopping strip in the Montmartre district. Of all the restaurants in this area of Paris, this one came highly recommended by the locals & you’ll see why if you check it out!
Montparnesse
Le Charivari
We had breakfast here two days during our stay in Paris because it was so good & very well priced. It was just down the street from our hotel {Jardin le Brea}, and offers outdoor & indoor dining. We also felt the service here was much faster than most {see my tip above!} which we liked because we could get our day started earlier after a yummy breakfast!
Tavalo di Gio
The most delicious, mouth-watering, moan-enducing authentic Italian food you will ever taste. On top of that, the service, which is also authentic Italian {it was very hard to switch my brain to saying “Grazie” etc instead of the French I had been trying to teach myself our whole trip lol}, was so genuine and amazing. They even offered us complimentary Limoncello after our dinner! I really can’t recommend this Paris gem enough.
Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Le Florès
Traditional french café and brasserie with great service & yummy salads. Perfect for people watching in true Parisian style. Tables are tiny, be warned lol, but this is a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
Ralph’s
We didn’t get a chance to eat here, but stumbled upon it because it was down the cutest little colorful alleyway. Beautiful outdoor dining area reminiscent of a summer estate garden party with its preppy Ralph Lauren style. Reservations recommended.
Tour Eiffel | 7th Arrondissement
Aux Cerises
Adorable little brunch spot {they serve other meals too, but I think brunch is their specialty & highly recommend planning to check it out!} right near the Eiffel Tower. All of the food is delicious and you can tell is made with the freshest ingredients. They also juice all of their own juices!
