I have been so excited to unveil our daughter, Sienna’s Boho Chic South Beach Theme Baby Girl Nursery here on my blog and on my YouTube channel with a full tour. Life with a toddler and newborn can get a little busy though, so here I am unveiling it when she’s 16 months old lol. Thankfully I got the YouTube tour up before she turned one.
Sienna’s boho chic South Beach theme baby girl nursery is so serene to walk into. It gets the best light in the afternoon too that makes it even prettier. I really wanted to mix natural textures {reminiscent of the beach} and chic touches that remind me of South Beach, Miami’s more glam side to find the perfect balance for her boho chic baby girl nursery. I also wanted some of the decor and furniture pieces in her nursery to bring in the art deco style you see in South Beach. Each piece I selected for her nursery was after a lot of searching around and comparing different options. I’m so happy with how it all pulled together.

If you’re designing a nursery for your baby, I definitely recommend putting together a little inspo board as you go to piece everything together. This helps make sure it all flows with the theme you have chosen {if you have chosen one}. I did this in Photoshop {see above for mine} but even Word would work fine. I took screenshots of things I liked and slowly worked them around to choose which looked best together.
The Necessities
This white and raffia texture dresser with gold handles was one of the first things I fell in love with. It’s a definite focal point, and I knew it had to be in her room. It completely fit the boho chic South Beach theme with the handle and leg style, the mix of textures and boho and glam style. I then looked for a crib. Nursery furniture tends to take a while to come in and is often backordered these days so I knew I needed to order these most important items first. I chose this simple, warm white crib over others because of the style of the backboard and legs. I also liked that it wasn’t stark white and was warmer/softer. It is a convertible crib as well so will grow with her like many of the other pieces in her baby girl nursery. This gorgeous crib sheet with graceful, beautiful egrets caught my eye and I couldn’t get my mind off of it. Definitely a more grown up and chic style, and the birds reminded me of sea birds you see on the beaches.

As I did with my son’s Wanderlust nursery design {unveil linked here}, I wanted Sienna’s boho chic South Beach theme baby girl nursery to be a little more grown up feeling and not too baby-ish. I chose to store all of her changing table items in her dresser drawer rather than out on the top. I also opted for this simple and chic changing table pad for the top of her dresser. Another piece I fell in love with early on and knew had to be in our baby girl’s nursery was this beautiful distressed velvet rocking chair with gold rails. I chose this rather than a more traditional nursing chair because, again, it can grow with her, and we can also use it in another room in our house down the road. Pairing it with this neutral ottoman with a soft, upholstered top and wooden legs kept the theme from going too glam in this area of her room. I really love how the pieces work together to create my boho chic South Beach theme baby girl nursery vision.

For nursery rugs, I chose to do a combo of two smaller rugs. I paired this pretty round medallion boho jute rug style with this softer, feminine, washable rug that brings in some of the pretty colors that remind me of South Beach. This accent table I found for Sienna’s boho chic baby girl nursery brings in a little glam with the gold and textured top, and the leg style is a little art deco and mirrors the angled leg style of her crib.
Windows + Lighting
I purchased a few curtain options before going with these delicate, semi-sheer curtains with little ties for Sienna’s baby girl nursery. Unfortunately these have since sold out so I linked similar ones {here}. I love how they soften the light and fall all the way to the floor elegantly adding to how inviting the room is. Black out curtains tend to be common for baby rooms, but we didn’t use them with our son {primarily for aesthetic reasons lol} and it worked out fine for us. It also taught him to be able to fall asleep in any lighting. I felt we would be ok doing the same with Sienna and she is an amazing sleeper so it doesn’t seem to hinder her sleep at all that they are semi-sheer.

The curtain rods we used are a simple brushed gold rod and are very affordable. They are a nice gold, not too dark or fake looking and not shiny. And they are actually the same style and brand I had used in our son’s nursery so I knew I liked them. I considered doing something more ornate, but felt the simple, modern style went well with all of the rest of the details in our little girl’s boho chic nursery.
We used this gorgeous tassel chandelier {linked similar} that had been in our son’s Wanderlust Theme Nursery as he is getting older and I’ll be making his room a little more “little boy” style soon. The boho style of this tassel chandelier fit perfectly with Sienna’s boho chic baby girl nursery theme. It’s definitely a focal point and provides a cozy little seating area swagged over above her rocking chair.
Wall Decor
As for the wall decor, I wanted to do vintage-looking, beachy prints that reminded you of carefree beach days. Muted, almost pastel cyan blue and pink pops that looked a little retro is also something I was going for. I found this vintage-looking lifeguard stand print which reminds me of all the neat lifeguard stands along Miami Beach {if you’ve been you probably have seen these}. I also loved this aerial beach shot that reminds me of olden days. Lastly, I chose a simple palm front wall print for the other wall. I framed all of these in simple, brushed gold wall frames that tied together with the curtain rods and other decor well without being overbearing decoratively. These wall prints really pulled in the boho chic South Beach theme for her nursery.
Above Sienna’s crib, I worked with an Etsy seller to create this laser-cut wood name sign. I was able to choose the fonts that I wanted and see a mock up of the sizing before they created them. I went with the natural color to play off of the other natural materials and neutral colors in her boho nursery decor. They also offer stains and colors though and the seller was great to work with! I used this thin two-sided adhesive to adhere the laser-cut wood letters to the wall. I learned from my son’s nursery that I really didn’t want any frames above her crib or heavier decor. As Luca got older he would stand up and touch them which made me nervous. These letters are high enough that she won’t be able to reach for a very long time {if ever while she’s in a crib} but still add to the wall in a really standout and pretty way.

Next to her crib, I hung this white and woven raffia full-length mirror. The arched top and rounded corners on the bottom is reminiscent of the art decor styles in South Beach. And the clean white mixed with natural woven raffia pull in not only South Beach beachiness but also a little boho style. I had purchased this tufted blush pink velvet storage ottoman as an option for her ottoman originally before going with the one I mentioned above, but I loved that it has storage so kept it to hold some of her toys and books. It has optional wooden legs that can be added as well.
Above her dresser, I hung these gorgeous white and gold decorative wall shelves. I stacked one above the other as a decorative focal point of the room where I could style some items that go with the boho chic South Beach baby girl nursery theme. For shelf decor, I added a faux plant for a pop of color, this letterboard with a cute saying on it that we can change, a photo frame with a picture of our maternity session in it, this pretty, feminine candle, and these dried palm leaves. I also ordered this rainbow abacus from an Etsy seller {use code Becca15 for 15% off} because Sienna is a rainbow baby. I love how pretty it is as decor but also that it’s a functional toy for her to play with, learn to count with etc. The seller allows you to customize the colors so I could match her baby girl nursery decor perfectly.

Rounding out this wall of her neutral boho chic nursery are some other faux plants, a simple table lamp {similar here}, and this decorative boho, rattan mirror. On the floor next to her dresser, I also have this woven leaf shaped basket. When I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for her boho nursery. I keep a few blankets in it for her that I put on the floor when we play in her room so they are easily accessible for me to grab. I purchased this wooden wall hook because it fit the boho chic South Beach nursery theme perfectly. It ties in so well with the other decor with the rounded corners and the design in the wood plus the gold hooks. Initially, I wasn’t sure where I was going to use it, but decided to have it hold her bows behind her door and it has been working perfectly!
Behind her door, I use this door organizer to hold shoes, hats, and other accessories. I love that it clips to the top and the bottom of the door so that it doesn’t swing away from the door when the door moves. It also holds a ton. This little gold rainbow with natural fiber tassels was another one of those little decorative accents that I saw and knew had to be in her room. It’s silly how happy this piece makes me. Again, Sienna is a rainbow baby, and this piece was just so unique, simple and pretty. It matches the rest of her boho chic nursery decor so well also with the colors and textures.

I linked a few other things we have for her room below as well as the wall color that we used to paint her room. I originally had planned to do this wallpaper in her room. We had the painters paint her room this color just as a base when we moved into our home. But I ended up loving the color so much we decided to save ourselves the hassle of wallpaper and stay with the solid walls. This color creates the most beautiful, calming and welcoming feeling when light comes into her room.
Thank you for checking out Sienna’s Boho Chic South Beach Theme Baby Girl Nursery and all that went into the design of it.
