From the day we moved into our home, maybe even sooner, Marc & I both wanted to create a front porch oasis where we could drink our coffee, relax, maybe sip a glass of something and hang out as a family. My dream front porch has finally come together with the most beautiful neutral front porch decor, furniture and plants. I now work from our relaxing and cozy front porch almost every day while Sienna is napping and it makes me so happy.
One of the things we both really wanted for our neutral front porch oasis was a front porch swing. I looked at so many swings, and originally we had planned a larger, hanging daybed style for the long area of our front porch. But after a lot of thought and measuring, we decided to do this beautiful rattan front porch swing and cushion on the smaller section of our front porch. I chose a lot of natural fibers and neutral colors that we will never tire of for our front porch oasis. Since it’s an outdoor space, I wanted it to really flow into the outdoors with the materials and the plants as well as the colors. I added this square pillow and this woven round pillow, both neutral styles with texture/pattern, to give it some dimension and extra comfiness.

Next to our front porch swing, I found this hyacinth storage container with a lid which doubles as a side table and also storage for sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and other kids things we tend to play with out front so they are always handy!
Another important item for our front porch oasis was a large couch that our whole family can sit on. We purchased this deep acacia wood outdoor sofa which is perfect! The fabric easily brushes dirt off and is made to resist stains as well. The covers are also machine washable which is a bonus when you have kids and the furniture piece is outdoor! To add to our neutral front porch decor, I added a few extra pillows {lumbar pillow here + square pillows here – similar} and this soft woven windowpane throw blanket with tassels to make it extra cozy.
I used this fabric protector on our front porch swing cushion & couch cushions to keep them lasting longer!
Under the sofa, to create a cozy seating area on our front porch oasis, I added this simple neutral outdoor rug with tassels. We tend to hang out on the front porch barefoot so it’s nice to have something cozy under our feet. I also have this neutral oversized doormat for our front door and this basic neutral woven door mat {similar} for our side door entrance off our front porch. all of the rugs tie together our neutral front porch decor nicely without being too matchy matchy.

Next to our oversized front porch sofa, we have these two white and rattan outdoor side tables for holding drinks etc. I found a neutral planter at Homegoods for an autumn fern to add a little pop of green with our neutral front porch decor. I really wanted an outdoor pouf to use as a foot rest or a seat for the kids {it also holds adults} and found this one on a great sale!
When I saw these wicker hanging baskets for flowers, I knew they would be perfect to add to our neutral front porch decor. They are a little upgrade to your typical hanging basket and keep the decor really cohesive. I was originally thinking of getting brighter florals for them, but when I saw these coleus plants at the nursery I fell in love with them! To tie in the purple color in the coleus, I also picked up a painted-leaf begonia for another Homegoods planter on a wooden stand in the corner.

Lastly, we had a bit of an open space still in the far corner near our side entrance door. I felt like a tiered planter would be the perfect way to fill up the space and complete our front porch oasis. I looked high and low but kept coming back to this 3 tier rattan and cane storage shelf. Not technically a planter, but my vision was to put little draping plants on each shelf as I did with the ivy plants, and I love how it turned out! I added this tall woven neutral vase with these faux eucalyptus and faux floral stem for a little pop of ivory/white to pull all of the neutral front porch decor together. The last little neutral decor items for the front porch were this gold watering can and this neutral rosette style wreath.
I’m so happy with the way this space came out & I wish I could just live on my front porch at all times now lol. To see a reel I made with the before and after of our neutral front porch oasis, check it out here!
