Now that we are all stuck home without an end in sight, home workouts are our only option for keeping up {or starting fresh on} a fitness routine. And honestly, with all the stress, anxiety, etc. that this COVID-19 breakout brought with it, it’s even more important to make time for our physical, and in turn mental, health.
I have personally been loving doing a mix of Pure Barre On Demand, various Peloton App classes, YouTube workouts & taking walks around my neighborhood to keep fit during these times. Below I have rounded up a bunch of free trial home workout options you can do right in your living room, backyard, wherever, with little to no equipment!
I definitely recommend trying out a couple of these free home workouts starting a week or so apart so that you can mix up your workouts but have trial options that will last you a couple of months. And never know, you may find something that you love doing and are seeing great results from that you even keep it going once we’re out of quarantine!
Free Home Workout Programs
- Peloton App – Peloton is offering a free extended trial right now for their app. You can try out all of their workouts for 90 days for free. Even if you don’t have a bike, they have tons of workouts you can do right on the floor in your living room with little to no equipment. Choose from strength, cardio, bootcamp, yoga and more!
- YouTube Workouts – there are sooo many free workouts on YouTube…just head to YouTube & do a search for what you are in the mood for that day {yoga, core, legs, pilates…whatever!}
- Pure Barre On Demand – I got lucky & got in on a free 60 day trial early on in the quarantine, but they are still offering a 7 day trial & I honestly LOVE these workouts! I really think these workouts are some of the best for strengthening the whole body in a safe way. And they have Pure Pregnancy options as well. Classes are anywhere from 15-60 minutes & they even have targeted arms, legs or core once if you want to hone in on a specific body area one day! They will be transitioning to Pure Barre Go soon so don’t get confused once that happens!
The workouts below I have not tried personally, but I either checked out their site to vet them or I have friends that have tried them & liked them!
- Popsugar Fitness – free for everyone right now during the quarantine {how nice are they??!} – love that they have boxing, dance cardio, strength & even low impact options!
- Gymondo – free 30 day trial – over 20 different kinds of workouts {pilates, strength, circuit, core, yoga & more!}

Home Workout Gear for Your Quarantine Workouts
There are lots of ways you can work out at home without any equipment at all or by being creative with things you have around the house {a hand towel or two for “gliders” and water bottles or shampoo/conditioner bottles for light “dumbells” etc.} But having a few basic home workout gear pieces can definitely help motivate you to get started working out and to get more out of your workouts.
Below are some basic home workout pieces that are in stock {as of publishing this} & affordable. I couldn’t find any affordable dumbells to link for you guys, but if you don’t have any, a resistance band like the one I linked or two equal weight items from around your home will work just as well!
