Tops Two Ways – Week Two

Happy Friday friends! So it’s funny that I’m sharing this post with you today because I actually am wearing this top today 🙂 I’ve been wearing it on repeat though so that’s not surprising. I actually really want to get it in the pale pink color too, but have been holding off hoping for it to go on sale soon…fingers crossed lol! The black is a staple though and I love the number of ways I can wear this top. It’s super soft {cashmere} which makes it ultra comfy but also kind of gives it a sexy feel for date night or girls night with some great jeans or even tucked into a mini with a pair of pumps. It also looks professional enough for the office where I pair it with some dress pants and heels or dressy flats. So many options! Plus, it literally comes in 11 colors!

The first look of this week has it paired with my go-to jeans from last week’s “Tops Two Ways” so I won’t go on and on about them again (if you missed the post, read it here!) but just know that they are the jeans that make me feel amazing no matter what and the gray wash goes with so much so they were such a great investment. I also added my black, pointed-toe suede booties with the chunky heel I talked about in last week’s post. These are selling out quick and on super sale now that the season is winding down so now is the time to jump on them!

This velvet bag is so beautiful and I snagged it on sale. But overall, if you’re looking for a really nice looking designer bag that doesn’t carry quite as hefty of a price tag as say a Chloe or Chanel, her bags are gorgeous and very well made! I’m all about velvet too so love this one. This is the smaller size, but still fits so much (full bottle of water, wallet, protein bar…and it’s still only like half full) and because it’s not too big, it works for day or night looks. It has a nice length crossbody strap plus a black chain-link handle for your hand or wrist. It also snaps closed with magnetized snaps so it’s great when you have full hands and don’t want to have to worry about latching up your bag…it just finds itself right back in place! {linked the mini size as the small is sold out now in black}

For my dressed down look, I added my trusty joggers from last week’s post because they literally go with everything and don’t look sloppy even though they’re joggers. These pants are also crazy soft so all around this look is so comfortable I could sleep in it lol. Some clean neutral sneaks…also featured last week **{use my code BECCAKAE50 to get 20% off these sneaks and anything else you buy in your first purchase!}** and a chic bag finish the look. This bag is another designer bag without the realllly high designer price tag. Don’t get me wrong, it was an investment, but doesn’t break the bank as much as some of the others out there I’m still saving for lol. It has a chain link handle as well that I got in the black metal {only sold at Neiman Marcus in this combo I believe}, but it also comes in so many combinations of metals and bag colors, and there is also this version that can be a crossbody or a shoulder bag that I kind of like a lot too. It was a toss up for me, and the crossbody option would have made this bag a home run for sure. I like that it’s big enough to store stuff in for a work meeting or when I’m traveling and doesn’t look too flashy, but also is great for a night out or weekend running errands. I feel like you should never buy something expensive that can’t work for you in a number of ways and sits in the closet most of the time. These beautiful things were made to be worn lol!
